Aside from that, this is a great playing condition horn and has plenty of life left to give. The first valve trigger is loose and, although it doesn’t greatly affect functionality, should be resoldered / replaced. The valve plating is in good condition, with minor staining, and all serial numbers match. Compression is great, age considered, and the horn plays nicely. The valves are quick and slides are smooth. The deluxe bell engraving is crisp and clear. Cosmetically, it the silver plating is in mint condition. The serial number, 281296, dates it to 1958. Overall, this instrument is in great condition.
